Michelle Lieberman, a graduate of SUNY Oswego with a BA in Personal Communications has had a varied career over the years. She began her work in banking and insurance. But it was her role as a preschool teacher in South Salem, NY that changed her focus. Working with kids was so rewarding and enjoyable that she sought opportunities to work closely with families in many different capacities.

Michelle, with her family, has had the opportunity to reside in many places across the globe. This mobility gave her a unique chance to explore interesting volunteer opportunities wherever they were living. She worked with children and literacy, bringing reading programs and support to her sons’ school in Pennsylvania. When the family relocated to Minneapolis, Michelle served on the board of Interfaith Outreach and Community Partners. She was the Volunteer Coordinator and Manager of the Food Shelf that served 600 families weekly. She also was the Chairperson for the Adopt-A-Family Holiday program there. The family moved to Auckland, New Zealand and Michelle worked at St. Andrew’s Hospice and then at Mercy Parklands Retirement Home as a volunteer to visit with patients and families of both facilities. The next move was back to the US, and Michelle served on the Parent Guild Board at Xavier College Preparatory High School for two years.

In Las Vegas, Michelle is delighted to serve on the board at Andson. Additionally, she volunteers as a Site Coordinator in Andson Academics and as an assistant to the management team.
